The Backyard name comes from the initial location adjacent to the hotel. The Backyard Bar is a locally-famous restaurant/bar that features some of the best food and action in town. Here you can find everything from sandwiches, BBQ chicken and steaks, burgers, and a very festive atmosphere. Also, don't miss ladies night (every Friday night).

Live Music!

We are one of the few bars in the Jaco Beach area that offers live music featuring some of the best talent in Costa Rica. So, if you prefer live music to disco music or karaoke then you should come and visit us on the weekends. sometimes we have roots reggae bands at other times it is rock and roll or hip hop. The one thing that you can be sure of is that it is the most happening place in the area for live music and to meet interesting people.

Great Food and Free Bocas

Bocas, or tapas, are a Costa Rican tradition that literally means something to put in your mouth. We offer free appertizers, or bocas, as a gesture of appreciation to our bar customers. Our restaurant menu is very diverse, offering a variety of foods that range from inexpensive snack foods to full dinners featuring seafood, steaks, salads, and mexican entrees. The entire menu is available day or night so we always have something for every budget or appetite.
